Design award for Bloxham

In November, the RSA's Bicentenary Medal 2008 was awarded to Tom Bloxham MBE, founder of Urban Splash, for his commitment to the regeneration of Britain's inner cities.

The Bicentenary Medal is awarded every year to someone who has used design to great effect for civic innovation. Bloxham's work as a property developer has been instrumental in transforming inner cities into vibrant places to live, work and play.

At the same ceremony, the new Royal Designers for Industry (RDIs) were announced as Max Fordham, Sam Hecht, Sarah King, Luke Pearson and Tom Lloyd. Find out more on the RDI page.
