RSA-US Student Design Awards, Challenge Fund, Diebold Young Fellows' Scholarship, and Benjamin Franklin Medal Lecture
The RSA-US Student Design Awards Competition connects education with industry to tackle real design challenges and encourage sustainable design and innovative solutions. The RSA’s prestigious awards program has a long history of recognizing emerging talent; past winners include Sir Jonathan Ive, RDI, of Apple and Bill Moggridge, RDI, of the Cooper Hewitt.
The RSA-US Challenge Fund works with RSA Catalyst to support Fellows’ projects and network development.
The Diebold Young Fellows’ Scholarship Program honors the many years of service of Founding RSA-US President David Diebold and makes Fellowship accessible to young social entrepreneurs. The US Trustees will also provide one-on-one mentoring and connections.
The Benjamin Franklin Medal Lecture and Award Ceremony will take place in New York in early 2013. Past medalists include General Sir Colin Powell, Sir Ken Robinson and Senator George Mitchell. Details and a call for nominations for 2013 will be announced soon.

Fellowship in the US

The US Fellowship has been around as long as the RSA itself, with Benjamin Franklin becoming a Fellow in 1756. In those days Fellows met in London coffee houses. Today Fellows meet in virtual coffee houses like the American Coffee House in addition to meeting in person at small and large events in many countries.
