In line with the Joseph Rowntree Foundation’s public consultation exploring social evils, the panel will look at whether there has been a decline in values in UK society. The expert panel will include: A C Grayling, professor of philosophy, Birkbeck College, University of London, Anthony Browne, policy director, City Hall, Baroness Julia Neuberger DBE, rabbi, social reformer and member of the House of Lords and Naomi Eisenstadt, director, Social Exclusion Task Force, Cabinet Office Chair: Julia Unwin CBE, director, Joseph Rowntree Foundation At the turn of the century Joseph Rowntree set up his three trusts and identified the worst social evils of the time. In 2007 the Joseph Rowntree Foundation asked the public to consider what social evils face the UK today. |
