RSA KeynoteRSA/Sky Sustainable Business Series Richard Lambert, CBI, delivers a keynote address in the first lecture in the RSA/Sky sustainable business series. The changed financial environment and urgent global challenges, such as the impact of climate change and stubborn economic and social inequalities, suggest a different approach to business is needed. Does business have a role as a ‘force for good’ in creating a more sustainable economic, social and environmental future, either through direct action or by influencing or changing behaviour? And what role for government to encourage business to do what it does best – to act and to innovate? Join Richard Lambert as he explores the potential for business to act as a driving force in the development of a more sustainable future, and what the role of regulation might be within this – to support and enable, or to compel and enforce. Speaker: Richard Lambert, director-general, CBI Chair: Matthew Taylor, chief executive, RSA This is the first event in a major new lecture series with Sky, which aims to explore the role that business can play as we endeavour to create a more sustainable approach to our economy, society and environment.
