Designing the Future School

This event brought together schools and professional designers to take on the challenge of creating a practical vision for an innovative school.
The Future Schools Network had previously chosen as its theme the exploration of ways to create a School Without Boundaries. Practitioners and designers worked together to envisage what this might look like in reality, and to address challenge of implementation.
As with anything the Future Schools Network does, the experience and drive of people in the participating schools are at the heart of making things happen. The event was a great success as a result of the enthusiasm and imagination of the participants. We moved significantly closer to realising the framework for the school of the future: a school without boundaries.
