Implementing Opening Minds

Opening Minds is a broad framework of competences through which schools can develop a curriculum that is personalised to the needs of their learners.

Opening Minds is not an 'off the shelf' curriculum and the RSA does not provide schools with materials or schemes of work. Schools implementing Opening Minds have found that the process of developing their own curriculum, and the ownership they have over it, is one of the major strengths of the framework.

The RSA supports schools planning to implement Opening Minds by providing some publications, training and consultancy.

However, we believe that the most valuable support comes from other schools already implementing Opening Minds. That's why we have developed the Opening Minds Community where schools can share materials and resources and contact other Opening Minds schools in their local area.
