The Millennium Project

2007 State of the Future report

The RSA is the UK 'node' of an international network of future-focused think- tanks, scholars, business planners and policy makers. This global group feeds into futures research about worldwide challenges – the Millennium Project.

The Millennium project was established in 1996 shaped by UN organisations, governments, corporations, NGOs, universities and creative futurists. It identified a pioneering list of 15 Global Challenges which were influential in shaping the 8 Millennium Development Goals.

Visit the Millennium Project site for more information about the project

Every year the Millennium Project compiles a 'State of the Future' report which brings together the collective thinking of the 'nodes', and offers evidence of global trends and issues. This annual report provides an update to the 15 Global Challenges synthesising previous years’ cumulative research.
