Engagement Manager, RSA’s Food, Farming & Countryside Commission

£39,221 per annum (commensurate with skills and experience) + benefits

Full time (consideration given to part time minimum 28 hours), 18 months fixed term, based in London WC2

You will be a skilled and seasoned practitioner in engaging and involving the public and communities in complex, contested issues, leading to innovative and practical changes. You will be knowledgeable about food, farming and the countryside, able to inspire confidence in a wide variety of stakeholders. You will have excellent communication skills, able to speak with authority and impact in a variety of settings, from community events, to specialist, expert meetings. You should be experienced in designing robust action research processes (or other participatory research methodologies) and be able to contribute outputs from these to the Commission’s overall research. You will be a good team worker, valuing colleagues’ contributions, working well under pressure and prepared for frequent work away from London.

Senior Researcher, RSA’s Food, Farming & Countryside Commission

£39,221 per annum (commensurate with skills and experience) + benefits

35 hours per week, 18 months fixed term, based in London WC2

You will be a seasoned and confident researcher, with a strong understanding of, and experience in, the food, farming and countryside policy territory. You will have excellent analytical and critical approaches to interpreting evidence, strong written and oral communication skills, confident in your presentation and a good team worker, valuing colleagues’ contributions. You will work well under pressure and demonstrate authority with and inspire confidence in a range of stakeholders. In this role, you will lead the research portfolio supporting the work of the Commission. Working alongside the other members of the team, in policy, and engagement, you will undertake primary and secondary research and lead the publication of research outputs. You will support the Commission’s Academic Advisory Board, and oversee the research contracts undertaken by our academic partners.

The Area Coordinator will support colleagues in the Local Area Team to develop thriving local communities of Fellows who help to bring about social change. This role is crucial in enabling our team’s efficiency and impact. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to develop their communications, marketing & event experience. You will have a high standard of administrative ability, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail. You’ll be a confident communicator, and able to communicate clearly with people from a range of different backgrounds. You’ll have experience of using different platforms to update websites, and a good understanding of how to write clear and engaging copy. Ideally, you’ll also have experience of using social media to promote events.
