Data Research Assistant
Circa £24,924 per annum (commensurate with skills and experience) + benefits
35 hours per week, initial one-year fixed contract based in London WC2

The primary purpose of this role is to provide quantitative research and data analysis to underpin our work in the Economy, Enterprise and Manufacturing (EEM) team, and across the Action and Research Centre as required. The EEM team’s objective is “an economy that enables everyone to fulfil their potential” and this role will focus on seeking, analysing and presenting quantitative data to support team research and to contribute to outputs including written reports, and online and audio-visual content.
To excel in this role you will have a sound understanding of and interest in economics and public policy, including public service delivery. Advanced Excel skills are essential, including experience of macros and pivot tables. You will be capable of using statistical tools, such as Excel, SPSS, Stata, SQL or similar, and an awareness of and strong interest in Geographical Information System (GIS) tools for creating maps and customise visualizations. You enjoy working in teams and can show strong people and communication skills. Not least you are self-motivated and willing to show initiative.
