Area Manager

Circa £31,414 per annum (commensurate with skills and experience) + benefits

35 hours per week, based in London WC2 (with frequent evening work and some travel)

An exciting opportunity has opened up for an Area Manager to deliver and support Fellows activity in London which will enhance Fellows’ experience as part of our overall Fellowship strategy.   

The Local Area team is looking for an energetic and motivated individual to help shape activity and act as a first point of contact, supporting our Fellows in London. You will join a remote-based UK team who lead on several important areas of work including the organisation of a wide range of events, supporting and developing networks, and enabling connections between our Fellows.  You will have a strong understanding of how to mobilise people and bring them together to achieve impact, helping Fellows deliver their own RSA activity including events and networks.

The ideal candidate will understand how membership organisations work, have the ability to identify activity opportunities and sustain networks.  Effective communication and participation skills are essential along with the ability to self-motivate.  You will have experience in event planning and be able to demonstrate confidence in engaging and communicating with a variety of stakeholders.   We’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed self-starter with demonstrable interest in the values and work of the RSA.
