What's in the online catalogue?

The catalogue allows researchers access to early collections of material and documentary evidence spanning 260 years.

The catalogue offers an increasing number of downloadable, low resolution digital images that are for reference purposes only. High resolution images are available on request see Archive Service. It doesn't offer a digital version of the records themselves.

Covering contributions from members, including among others such notables as Charles Dickens, Michael Faraday, Karl Marx, and many others. (The archives contain only limited information about individual Fellows, and we do not hold personal papers of Fellows or receive deposits from other institutions.)
