Asheem Singh leads the RSA’s Economy team, whose ambitious programme for national renewal focuses on the future of work, AI and tech, better business, and citizen empowerment.
Asheem previously led the UK’s largest social leaders network Acevo, where he oversaw national inquiries into ethical and responsible finance and helped drive the formation of the UK’s social investment market. Prior to that he worked at pioneering venture philanthropy fund Impetus Trust, at several think tanks including ResPublica, and in Westminster as a political and policy adviser.
An expert on the social and solidarity economy, his book ‘The Moral Marketplace,’ was published by Policy Press in 2018 and was described by Sir Stephen Bubb as "the most important work on social activism… to emerge this decade." He is the author of more than twenty influential publications on areas as diverse as asset ownership, financial reform and blockchain technology.
