At the recent Resource 2015 congress, the Great Recovery team created a stand reflecting circularity in action.

The reasons for moving from a linear model of product design to a cyclical one are easy to grasp: we have a finite amount of resources, increasing demand for those resources and an environment burdened by 'take, make, throw away' thinking. But what in practice are the decisions designers need to make in order to achieve circularity with their products?

The Great Recovery team used a Brio train set to demonstrate the steps involved in designing products for the circular economy.
