In deprived areas of Nottingham, supporting people to gain valuable skills and experiences so that they are able to work towards long-term employment, is a vital aspect of achieving greater community cohesion.
Community Sparkle is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) based in the region, that is addressing this issue. It has been established by a partnership of organisations and individuals who share an interest in helping long-term unemployed people get closer to work. The company will work with its partners to secure work placements which will hopefully lead to full employment.
