Ethical, healthy and sustainably produced – the holy trinity of modern eating. Rarely do you find a product that ticks all three boxes.
As the global population continues to grow, there are two things we’ll need–sustainable food sources, and ways to offset the environmental impact of more people. Spirulina provides both.
Energaia is a Thailand based company that produces sustainable spirulina – a microalgae that is naturally occurring in relatively few places. Not only does spirulina suck carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere and produce oxygen as it grows, but it’s extremely nutrient dense meaning that it can provide a vital source of food for both animals and people in vulnerable communities globally.
The key to Energaia is efficient production design. They have developed a unique system that allows the spirulina to grow rapidly (it doubles in mass every 2-4 days) and remain free from contamination from other bacteria. The system is also transferable to a range of environments – rural or urban. Take a look at their video to find out more.
Can you help? Energaia are currently seeking help with investment, marketing, trading and partnerships.
