In 2012, RSA 2020 Public Services delivered a report on Oldham’s co-operative council model which aimed to create a collaborative framework for future policy development. It focused in particular on the relationships between the Council, elected members and communities that can drive the strong local leadership necessary for co-operative working in the borough.
We are now working with Oldham to implement next steps which include the establishment of an Innovation and Reform Hub which aims to devise practical solutions to achieving lasting social change by engaging service users to help shape and deliver public services. The Public Services and Communities team at the RSA supports Oldham Council to plan, develop and help implement the Innovation Reform Hub.
