Demands on public services are rising while budgets are falling. The gap can't be closed by service efficiencies alone. These reports look at the ‘state of the art’ in demand management, ranging from behavioural science to systems thinking.
They argue for a comprehensive approach, re-setting the relationship between the public, the state and public services, enabling a clearer focus on the root causes of social demand. The reports were made possible by support from the Economic and Social Research Council, the LGA, iMPOWER and Collaborate.
