Working with the Hounslow Together Local Strategic Partnership, the RSA conducted in-depth research into the social networks and wellbeing of a particular residential area in Hounslow, west London.
The project combines social networks analysis with ethnographic research to gain insight into how the community functions, with the aim of informing the LSP's 'Cranford Stronger Together' programme. This programme will explore new ways of working which enable the community to support local people.
The forthcoming report (February 2015) presents the methodology and findings of the research, and explores the implications of the various kinds of social isolation and low wellbeing experienced by some people in the area, and highlights the community's capacity to support those who are struggling.
This research was commissioned by the London Borough of Hounslow to provide insight for the Local Strategic Partnership's future work in the Borough.
