Celebrate the holiday spirit by learning the beauty of Palestinian embroidery (Tatreez) and making your own festive ornaments.

In this relaxed and hands-on workshop, you will learn how to stitch traditional Palestinian motifs and create two unique Christmas ornaments on beautifully crafted wooden bases. These pieces make meaningful decorations for your home or heartfelt gifts for loved ones.

No experience is needed — complete beginners are warmly welcome.
All materials will be provided, including wooden ornament bases, threads, patterns, and needles.

Just come with curiosity and enjoy an evening of creativity, culture, and connection. We can’t wait to stitch with you and share the stories behind this centuries-old art.

The Tatreez Collective is dedicated to keeping the art of Palestinian embroidery alive by sharing its knowledge with new generations and creating sustainable livelihoods for women who practice it.

This workshop will take place in the Tavern Room at the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. If you have time before or after the event, please do come by for a drink at MUSE, our intimate cocktail bar tucked within RSA House. With a menu Inspired by nature and expertly crafted with purpose, MUSE reflects the RSA’s commitment to sustainability, creativity, and meaningful experiences.
