Join us for the first event in our AI and the Planet series, as we discuss the costs of AI and how to responsibly steward its development.

Since the public release of ChatGPT in 2022, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has exploded into our daily lives, sparking unprecedented excitement and innovation, and promising to reshape how we work, create and communicate. Yet, beneath the hype, a growing number of critics warn that the unchecked acceleration of AI comes with significant costs, which, if not addressed, could have profound impacts on people, communities and the planetary systems we rely on.

AI and the Planet is a webinar series hosted by action philosopher and AI ethicist, Nathan (Nate) Kinch FRSA and supported by the RSA Sustainability Network. Each event features a discussion with a leading scholar whose work deepens and expands our understanding of the current AI moment – the risks, challenges and potential. Join us as we explore the rapidly evolving relationship between Artificial Intelligence and the world it is reshaping.
