What is the future of the Further Education sector in the UK?

The second of three summits co-hosted by the RSA and FETL will bring together leaders in the Further Education & Skills sector to consider opportunities for system innovation and leadership.

Whilst FE and skills has a history of adaptability and responsiveness, there is now a unique opportunity for the sector to develop a greater sense of agency and self-determination.

Launching in May, the RSA/ FETL publication Possibility Thinking will explore questions around leadership, pedagogy and public understanding of the sector, as well as Scottish, UK and global contexts, in order to help map out the future of further education.

The summit is an opportunity for leaders in Further Education to develop actionable recommendations for policy and practice.

We'll be exploring some of the most important questions facing the sector, including:

  • What is needed to support understanding, innovation and leadership in the sector?
  • What do leaders in the sector need in order to be creative leaders of change?
  • What will change public and political perceptions of the FE & Skills sector?

Places are limited, so if you would like to attend, please book as soon as possible.
