The RSA Fellowship in Oxford has begun to hold informal gatherings to provide FRSAs and guests with opportunities to socialise, share experiences, spark ideas and support initiatives that can transform our places and people’s lives. We meet every 3rd Thursday of each month, same time and place.
This month will feature a talk by Elizabeth Mills about housing and in particular the HomeShare project, with a focus on the importance of intergenerational relationships, the social isolation of many lone older people, and the mutual benefit to be gained by younger people and older people sharing living arrangements.
A number of local fellows (led by Peter Ashby - network lead for Oxford, working closely with South Central Region Chair Maurizio Fantato) are at hand to meet and greet you in the Living Room, at the Turl St Kitchen - a versatile venue - and introduce newcomers and guests to others.
We will be providing “talk to me about” name badges to spark conversation. There is no formal group discussion, as this event is designed to focus on meeting people, sharing ideas and networking.
