Matthew Taylor will be speaking at Nottingham Trent University to mark the beginning of his visiting professorship at the School of Social Science.
During his lecture Matthew will speak about the RSA's new world view - The Power to Create - which identifies opportunities for a step change in human flourishing and the barriers that stand in the way of progress. To make its greatest contribution social science too needs to combine idealism with objective analysis. Too often the idealism gets lost or hidden.
In this guest lecture Matthew Taylor offers one framework which combines an idea of individual and collective efficacy with an analysis of why it is so hard in practice to achieve and sustain progress.
The event is open to the public and free but you will be required to book. Please visit www.ntu.ac.uk/MatthewTaylor to book your place now.
