What challenges will the world face in the 21st century and beyond? And how can RSA Fellows ensure it is best placed to answer those social challenges?
Join us in learning from the future to explore what a preferred future for the RSA might look like in the 21st century. This event will be a great opportunity to experience using strategic foresight to explore potential futures, and to work with other Fellows to develop our RSA to be the best it can be.
It will be an opportunity to:
Explore how trends unfolded in the past
Examine the current operating environment and the assumptions we are making
Explore pockets of the future occurring today
Share ideas about what you’ve learned that we (RSA Fellows) need to do to flourish in the future
Foresight uses the disciplines of anticipatory thinking to develop strategies and plans, and make better decisions for the future.
- Law Firm Allen & Overy bought six companies but biggest outcome was changing conversation with clients
- Romanian Government did scenarios for Higher Education to 2025, led to white paper & investment by World Bank
- Estate Agency used foresight to grow and prosper during the downturn, buy several businesses and finally sell their lettings arm to enable them to buy out the senior partner so that he could retire
