Join us for the third meeting of our Fellows’ LGBT Network.
In this gathering we will be focusing on three main areas that have been developed from the first couple of meetings. Fellows are invited to join us to share their thoughts and ideas for how we can turn some of the ideas into actions.
The group's focus areas are as follows:
Lecture series - There seemed to be a great deal of enthusiasm for the idea of the group curating and hosting a short lecture series. The group felt that this wasn’t something that was being done elsewhere, and given the RSA’s expertise in hosting events it was identified as a project that a group of Fellows could work together on that could have a positive impact.
Collecting stories - The idea of collecting stories from within the network, and potentially the wider Fellowship, was raised a few times. Once collected these could be turned into a blog/performance or displayed through other creative medium. The group decided that we would first collect stories from the 40 people who have shown an interest in the network.
Creating a workshop - It was felt that this was already happening elsewhere and would be quite resource intensive. It was agreed that if the group was to focus on creating a workshop then an audit of what currently exists would need to be carried out.
You don’t need to have been to a previous meeting to get involved and everyone is welcome to join.
If you have any questions, please contact the Network Lead Niranjan Kamatkar FRSA by email (firstname.lastname@example.org), or via his MyRSA profile.
