Come and join us for this InConveRSAtion event with Michelle Preston FRSA talking with David Knowles in a discussion about his career and in particular the value of art.

David Knowles qualified as a social worker in 1996. Since then he has worked in a variety of roles within NHS, local authority, and third sector settings. He and three partners established a social enterprise in 2005 which transformed the delivery of drug and alcohol services across a city with multiple levels of deprivation.

More recently he has worked for a large national charity, which has enabled him to combine his interest in community living with the challenge of how to create supportive environments where individuals can thrive by working collaboratively. This has involved supporting the development of arts and crafts workshops, where people, regardless of their needs, are able to produce art and helps people to develop their sense of wellbeing and esteem.

Book your place now. Tickets are free and refreshments will be provided.
