RSA Greenwich Network Event

Come along to this month's RSA Greenwich Network meetup.

Join us to take a 'behind the scenes' tour of St Alfege Church, the wonderful Hawksmoor building in the centre of Greenwich. There'll also be discussion led by the students and staff from the University of Greenwich on bridging the gap between students and the workplace, as well as discussing call-outs for support. 

Mark Harris FRSA will lead the tour of the magnificent St Alfege Church, which is next door to the pub. Mark is working on a new Heritage Lottery Fund funded project, Heart of Greenwich - Place and People, which aims to complete the restoration of this gem of the English Baroque and open up its hidden history and spaces to the public as part of the celebration of the tercentenary of the building in 2018. RSA Fellows can get a preview – perhaps even into the roof space and the crypt. 

After the tour, we'll hear from the students and staff from the Business School Employability Office at the University of Greenwich on connecting students with the world of work.

About this network...

The Greenwich Network draws Fellows from all over south-east London; although we don’t have to live or work in Greenwich, it is a convenient place to visit with many transport links. We met quarterly in 2015 and 2016 for informal networking and sharing of ideas. Topics for discussion and calls to action come from Fellows; we have contributed ideas and resources to a number of local projects across different themes including education, transport, and arts & heritage, because we are a geographic network. In 2017 we plan to meet around eight times, with the intention of achieving some continuity of action on local projects or national projects in a local context, as well as inviting new pitches and discussions.
