Come and join us in Plymouth to discuss the RSA’s work on Basic Income and how this relates to challenges in the south-west.

Anthony Painter, RSA Director of the Action and Research Centre, will be joining us to give an overview of the up-to-date work in this area. Anthony will be in conversation with RIO’s Ed Whitelaw FRSA to explore practical ways in which these issues can be taken forward.

The RSA’s report on Basic Income argues that a Basic Income for the UK - and elsewhere - would be feasible, desirable, and beneficial.

There will be a short Q&A session and the rest of the evening will be an opportunity for discussion and networking to connect with other Fellows locally.

If you have any questions, please contact Michelle Virgo FRSAmichelle@plymsocent.org.uk.

If you have any access requirements or require any reasonable adjustments, please email the RSA team: networks@rsa.org.uk.

This event is in partnership with Plymouth Social Enterprise Network and is part of a series of events focusing on social enterprise for an inclusive and sustainable economy.

The programme will bring together social entrepreneurs and others who are working towards a better economy via ideas such as local currencies, time banks, local food networks, community renewables, transition towns, worker co-ops, community businesses, socially engaged art, digital inclusion, open data, social justice, fair trade, participatory democracy, and more...
