Come and join us for the next lunchtime series in collaboration with Transform. At this session we’ll hear from Professor Madge Dresser FRSA.

Madge, now Honorary Professor in Social and Cultural British History at the University of Bristol and Senior Research Fellow at UWE, will speak about  her longstanding interest in ‘history from below’ and her work with the national charity  Journey to Justice. She’ll be in conversation with Alan Bec FRSA.

We will touch on Madge's project on ethnic minorities in Bristol for Heritage Lottery Fund in 2005-2007, and her ongoing work on slavery, race, and popular memory in Bristol. We will also discuss the Journey to Justice project in Bristol, which includes a touring exhibition and over 35 events in the city across October 2017.

Bring your own lunch to eat and be inspired. Tea and coffee can be bought downstairs in Bordeaux Quay.

Tickets are free: please sign up above and contact Alan Bec FRSA with any questions: alanbecFRSA@realitycheckconsultancy.com.

If you have any questions, or if you have any access requirements or require any reasonable adjustments, please let the RSA team know: networks@rsa.org.uk.

Location: Upstairs Dining Room, Bordeaux Quay, Canons Way, Bristol, BS1 5UH
