Join us for an interactive online event to find out how RSA Fellows are spearheading the re-birth of regional banking across the South West of England and explore how you can get Involved and support the movement.

At the RSA we are supporting the Community Savings Bank Association (CSBA) to set up a network of 18 regional co-operative banks across the UK with a mission to serve all people on equal terms and to focus on honest and transparent savings, loans and banking services for SMEs, community groups and households of ordinary means.

RSA Fellows are leading the way in the West and South West of England and we will be hosting a series of events over the coming months to build support and get the attention of the influencers and investors that can help us make this a reality. We’re calling on our Fellowship to help to help us build a movement that can disrupt the UK banking sector and lead us on a path to more inclusive growth in the South West and across the UK.

This event will be an opportunity to find out more about:

  • The economic and social case for regional banks

  • The CSBA and their plans to create a network of 17 regional banks across the UK

  • Avon Mutual (covering Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Bristol & Bath) led by Jules Peck FRSA

  • South West Mutual (covering Devon, Dorset, Cornwall and Somerset) – led by the RSA’s Director of Economics, Tony Greenham

  • Why the RSA is supporting the CSBA and how you can get involved and support the movement
