Join us for a special live streaming event of the WEA Annual Lecture, A Place for Learning, by Matthew Taylor.
Matthew Taylor will give the 2018 WEA Annual Lecture at the RSA in London on the theme of how places play a crucial role in our engagement with learning. From the importance of community-based learning settings through to the infrastructure that supports lifelong learning at a local, regional, and national scale, the places where we learn are as important as what we learn.
Matthew will explore how a clearer focus on the relation between place and learning can achieve greater results through making better use of our existing community resources and by better understanding how as individuals we respond to local identity. After the lecture, Matthew will be joined by Ruth Spellman, WEA Chief Executive, WEA Chair, and Trevor Phillips, Chair of Trustees, WEA, for further discussion.
After the screening, there’ll be an opportunity for further discussion.
This event is in partnership with WEA and the University of Nottingham School of Education.
