The RSA started in 1754 as a lively coffee house in the English Enlightenment. Its current mission is '21st century enlightenment: enriching society through ideas and action’.

At our next meeting we will explore our ambitions, concerns, and expectations about the next century.

After first reminding ourselves of the turbulence, the gains, and the losses of the 18th century Enlightenment, we will then discuss in small groups our hopes and fears for Enlightenment 2.0.

In a plenary discussion, we’ll then explore the roles the RSA, and the RSA’s Islington Network, could play in this.
