Newcastle Encounter meets on the third Wednesday of every month. This April, we will be hearing from the NEone Creative team and how the project is seeking to close the creativity gap for workers and citizens across society.

The passion and energies for NEone Creative are very much alive. The project, which was kick started by The RSA, is now one of the Innovation Projects. With the help of funding provided by the AHRC and ERDF, the platform continues to grow from strength to strength.

In response to the RSA's concern over the Creative Gap, NEone Creative aims to provide a digital platform to connect people through the sharing, collaborating, and co-creating of artistic pieces in the widest sense of the arts. Driven by this mission, they lead an approach to learning and development that enables everyone, regardless of background, to generate original, valuable ideas and make them happen. The community will work alongside industry to create a fresh platform that promotes collaboration amongst freelancers and connect people to organisations seeking talent.

NEone Creative now has the working party of Mark Bailey FRSA (Northumbria University), Laura McKay FRSA (Slope Design), Paul Fleet FRSA (Newcastle University), and Nate Sterling (Innovator in Residence, Innovate). The team are keen to hear from Fellows who are interested in these ideas and want to get involved. Contact Paul: paul.fleet@ncl.ac.uk, or Nate: nate.sterling@northumbria.ac.uk, and follow their progress @NEoneCreative.

Join us to find out more about NEone Creative and how you can get involved, connect with like-mined Fellows, and collaborate and discuss new ideas in an informal setting.

Everyone is welcome and these events are free to attend. Please follow the "Book Now" link to register.

If you have any questions about the event, have any dietry requirements or allergies, or require any reasonable adjustments,  please contact Bill Gibbon FRSA: bill@billgibbon.net.
