Join us at the next in our series of monthly meet-ups in the warm and welcoming surrounds of THiNK, at the heart of Nottingham’s creative quarter.

At our April meetup we’ll be talking about Cities of Learning, the focus of  Matthew Taylor’s recent WEA Lecture, shared at an RSA Watch event here in Nottingham, hosted by Sharon Clancy FRSA.

Cities of Learning is a new approach for activating a grassroots, city-based, mass-engagement movement around learning and skills. You can find out more about it here. Please come and help us explore what it could mean for Nottingham.

Kicking off our discussion will be John Holford, Robert Peers Professor of Adult Education at the University of Nottingham. A Sociologist who has spent most of   his career in adult education, his research has focussed chiefly on the role of lifelong education in the formation of citizens, communities and social   movements.

There’ll be plenty of time for informal networking over soup, bread and drinks.

Please let us know you’re coming by booking a place.

If you have any queries or suggestions, please contact jeanne@jeannebooth.org.

PS Sharon is also leading a panel on ‘What should education for all mean today? for the Raymond Williams Foundation in Liverpool in May. More information here

If you have any access requirements or require any reasonable adjustments, please let the RSA team know: networks@rsa.org.uk.  Please also let us know if you have any dietary requirements or severe allergies.

Location: TH!NK, Cobden Chambers, Pelham St, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire NG1 2ED
