Join us in Leicester on 13th September for the chance to discover inspiring local projects supporting diversity and inclusion.

The RSA was founded on a belief that the creativity of ideas could advance social change. Over 250 years later, we’ve taken inspiration and developed a series of Engage events across the UK to help our Fellowship community turn their ideas into action.

Join us in Leicester on 13th September to discover and support local projects with diversity and inclusion at their heart. A mix of ideas and approaches will be shared, followed by an opportunity for you to ask questions, find out more and get involved. You’ll also be able to make new connections within and outside of the Fellowship, and contribute to the mission of the RSA.

Matthew Taylor, Chief Executive of the RSA, will speak as part of the event.

CALL TO ACTION

If you would value input from the Fellowship community for your venture, apply to give a three-minute pitch before 6pm on Friday 24 August. Support and advice for shaping your lightning talk and call to action will be available before the event.

We want to hear about projects advancing equality that have definite plans for growth or ongoing need of support.

RSA Engage is an interactive, largely standing event, though limited seating is available. Drinks and canapes will be available.

If you have any access requirements or require any reasonable adjustments, please let us know by emailing [email protected]. Please also let us know if you have any dietary requirements or severe allergies.

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE ENGAGE SERIES

What is RSA Engage?

RSA Engage is a series of 20 events hosted around the UK which provide a space for Fellows to make new connections in their area and enables us to showcase some of the most innovative Fellow-led projects. Whether you’re looking to find out more about the RSA, get involved with an exciting project, or to network with like-minded people, RSA Engage offers something for everyone.

What’s the format?

RSA Engage is a mix of three-minute project pitches and facilitated networking. Each pitch will finish with a call to action, asking the audience to share their skills and experience to help further their project. Between project pitches, there are short bursts of networking where you’ll be able to spark new connections and talk to the project pitchers about how you can support their work. RSA Engage is an interactive, standing event, though limited seating may be available.

Who can attend?

Our Fellowship events are free to attend, but due to their popularity we ask that you please register in advance by following the ‘Book Now’ link at the top of this page. We welcome non-Fellows who support the work of the RSA and those who are interested in finding out more about Fellowship.

Location: Devonshire Place, 78 London Road, Leicester LE2 0RA

The venue is a two minute walk from Leicester railway station. Directions and parking information are available here.
