RSA Fellows in Ireland are meeting regularly to discuss local topics, Fellow-led projects and new ideas. The remote meetings are online, hosted by RSA Ireland Fellowship Councillors, Kieran McGeown FRSA and Suzanne Lyle FRSA. The third in this series is coming up on 24 October, addressing the topic of Government in Northern Ireland; where is it at and where do we go from here?

There appears to be an unbridgeable gap between the main political parties in Northern Ireland in relation to facilitating a return of a locally elected government at Stormont. NI society is therefore facing the prospect of Brexit occurring with no local government in place.

How does this lack of a locally elected government affect civic society and why does it appear that the NI public are not too concerned by its absence?
This is a great opportunity to spark conversation and make new connections within the Fellowship community.

Please note the RSA is politically neutral and welcomes a range of ideas and perspectives on this topic. All are welcome to this discussion.
