We all know that many of the things we buy are made overseas. But what do we really know about the people who make our products and the conditions they make them in?

Empower Collection, in association with RSA ANZ, is pleased to bring you an evening that will challenge and inspire you to understand a little more about the things you buy, and how your ethical purchasing behaviour can hold businesses to account on issues such as forced labour and fair living wages.

Join Federal Member for Petrie, Luke Howarth MP, Carolyn Kitto, Director of anti-slavery advocacy group STOP THE TRAFFIK, and Ian Kikkert, Managing Director of Fairtrade manufacturer Empower Collection, for a community discussion on the significance of the proposed Modern Slavery Bill 2018 and how we can all play a role in ethical purchasing.

This event is hosted by Empower Collection in association with RSA ANZ, and suported by Stop the Traffik, Uniting World, the Uniting Church (Queesland Synod), Anglican Church Southern Queensland (Social Responsibilities Committee), Baptist World Aid, ACRATH, Oxfam and the Lakes College.
