Join us for RSA Watch in Coventry this December.
Thanks to all who contributed to our last meetup (Feeding the City), especially to Andrew Marsh and Sally Arkley. A copy of the slides that Andrew used can be found here. Sally and others are now exploring developing some bids for Community Kitchen space in the city. That's what RSA is all about, using our shared wisdom and experience to come together and do more.
Our next meeting is on Monday 10th December 5-7pm in the Alison Gingell Building at Coventry University. Our focus this month is housing.
We’ll begin by screening an RSA Talk given earlier this year by Richard Sennett in which he explores the relationship between how cities are built and how people live in them before opening up a discussion about building and dwelling here and now, in Coventry. Is there enough housing for our needs? What impact will City of Culture have on our civic infrastructure? Why are there still homeless people on the streets of Coventry? In the Spring we’ll build on this discussion – if you have an interest in this subject and would be willing to contribute please let us know.
As always, the meetup is free to attend and open to Fellows, friends, and colleagues interested in supporting the work of the RSA.
