Meeting at The Fox House, Sheffield

We're stepping out into the Peak District this Spring for a half day walk and conversational adventure with RSA Fellows.

The National Park will be an alternative, natural environment for Fellows to meet, think creatively, and discuss new ideas or interests. We hope to create meaningful connections, spark and support ideas and boost wellbeing whilst rambling through beautiful scenery.  Experienced walker and outdoor facilitator Toby Rhodes FRSA will be joining us to lead the way, with a treasure trove of local knowledge to share along the route.

Our RSA Meetup in the Peaks is a chance to venture out into the great outdoors, try something new and challenge yourself. The aim isn't physical endurance, instead emphasising meaningful experiences and conversations.

To ensure group safety and conservation of the local area, numbers are limited to 15. Please register a free ticket in advance.

If you have any questions about the event, please contact Rachel Barker, RSA North Area Manager: rachel.barker@rsa.org.uk.

The route
An easy-moderate 3-4 hour walk with some hills and turnstiles. There will be lots of interesting, industrial heritage and countryside to take in. We advise wearing walking shoes/boots and waterproofs.

We'll break for lunch and a cuppa at Grindleford Station Café. If you have dietary requirements/preferences, you're welcome to bring your own lunch with you to eat at the cafe.

Our route will bring us back to The Fox House where we'll end with a drink before heading home and into the Bank Holiday weekend.

Unfortunately, on this occasion, the event isn't wheel chair accessible. If you like the idea of doing something outdoors but would find this difficult – for any reason – please get in touch with Rachel Barker and we will work up an accessible alternative later in the year.

Location: Start and finish at The Fox House, Hathersage Road, Longshaw, Sheffield S11 7TY.

The pub is on a bus route and there's a car park for anyone traveling by car.
