The digital age has put instant information, social interaction and multiple connections in our hands. Along with these benefits, which are all grabbing for our attention, this technology is putting a strain on our minds and affecting our brains.

In this session the Mindful Living Network will look at how to apply principles to using digital resources in a mindful way to avoid the pitfalls of multitasking, email addiction, phantom mobile vibrations and FOMO, while enjoying more productive meetings and better sleep.

We will look at the neuroscientific research which shows what 24/7 access and “multitasking” can do to our ability to concentrate and be in the moment.

Join us to share techniques and strategies for applying mindful principles to structure your day, to use your mental resources, and manage stress and relations skilfully.

Fellow Networking will follow the session. Refreshments will be available from 6pm for a prompt 6:30pm start.

If you have any access requirements or require any reasonable adjustments, please let the team know: networks@rsa.org.uk. Please also let us know if you have any dietary requirements or severe allergies.

Location: Dr Cross Room, Rawthmells, RSA House, 8 John Adam Street, WC2N 6EZ
