Is it time for increased deliberative democracy? Is democracy in trouble? Renewal and reinvigoration is central to the RSA’s social and cultural programme. Join us in February to find out more and get involved locally.

RSA Fellows in the Tees Valley invite you to reflect on the RSA’s approach to deliberative democracy. Matthew Barraclough, Head of Local News Partnerships at BBC News will also share the BBC’s strategy to support local civic journalism. This will be followed by a lively workshop discussion looking at ways to progress the democratic agenda in the Tees Valley.

The RSA Tees Valley Network is a fast-growing Fellow-led group with a dynamic and passionate membership. We are active in a number of areas and are determined to work in a non-partisan way to enrich Tees Valley society through our ideas and action.

You do not need to be an RSA Fellow to sign up to the mailing list or to get involved – we welcome all.
