The RSA has recently collaborated with ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) to explore the role of the finance professional in supporting and hampering public sector innovation. From leading innovation to facilitating change elsewhere, there is an important, and often understated, role for finance teams to play.

Following the launch of a research report in September, soon the RSA will be conducting a survey to understand Fellows’ experiences of public sector innovation, with a particular focus on finance.

Key issues under consideration include:

  • the nature and impact of innovation

  • the role of public finance

  • the opportunities and barriers encountered

To hear the results of the research with ACCA and emerging themes from the Fellows survey – and to contribute your thoughts as to what can and should be done to promote progress – please join us at this Creativity in Public Services Network event at RSA House. Note that places are limited, so early booking is highly recommended.

Location: Romney Room, RSA House, 8 John Adam St, London WC2N 6E
