In 1754, William Shipley founded the RSA with a belief that the creativity of ideas could enrich social progress. Over 250 years later, we’ve taken inspiration and developed a series of Engage events across the UK to engage with, encourage, and support our Fellowship community to turn their ideas into action.

Join us at RSA Engage in Exeter to discover and support projects that are tackling 21st century challenges, make new connections within the local Fellowship network, and contribute to the mission of the RSA. Everybody is welcome to join us at this event.

In 1754, William Shipley founded the RSA with a belief that the creativity of ideas could enrich social progress. Over 250 years later, we’ve taken inspiration and developed a series of Engage events across the UK to engage with, encourage, and support our Fellowship community to turn their ideas into action.

A mix of ideas will be “pitched”, followed by an opportunity for you to ask questions, find out more from the people driving them forward and volunteer your support.

A Call to Action

RSA Engage provides a brilliant platform to ignite and share your ideas. If you’re working on a project that is tackling social, economic or environmental challenges and you’d like to seek support from an informed and connected audience, apply to pitch.

The closing date for applications is 8 November 2019. Support and advice for shaping your three minute call to action will be available before the event.

Event Location: CoLab Wat Tyler House, 3 King William St, Exeter EX4 6PD

For directions see here.

Planning to attend? Please register a free ticket in advance.

RSA Engage is an interactive, standing event - limited seating available. If you have any questions, access requirements or require any reasonable adjustments, please contact: networks@rsa.org.uk. Please also let us know if you have any dietary requirements or severe allergies.

Drinks will be available on arrival.

Further Information

RSA Engage events are a mix of short project pitches and facilitated networking. Each pitch will conclude with a call to action, encouraging the audience to share their skills and experience to help further the project. In between project pitches, there are short bursts of networking where you’ll be able to spark new connections and talk to the project pitchers about how you can support their work. There will also be opportunities to find out more about the RSA, our main areas of work, and how you can engage with our network of 29,000 Fellows.

We welcome non-Fellows who support the work of the RSA and anybody interested in finding out more about Fellowship to attend.
