RSA Wales/Cymru Online Meetup

Fellowship events

 -

Online (via Zoom)

  • Fellowship
  • Fellowship in Action

We are inviting Fellows in Wales/Cymru to (re)connect online to share key issues, ideas and insights from our varied circumstances and perspectives in these uncertain times.

About the Series

We begin with brief introductions and updates, we then identify key issues and themes within the group, and break out into smaller groups to dive deeper (as appropriate).

This event will take place via online conferencing platform, Zoom.  You will receive the unique link to this event and full instructions in a confirmation email once you have booked to attend. You will also receive a reminder email 48 hours before the event starts.  If you’ve never used Zoom or would like to know more about using it, then please join Leonie at 12.45pm for a quick tour.

Please book your place using the link at the top of this page. Please also tell us via the Eventbrite form whether there’s a specific topic that you would like to raise and/or facilitate.

Next Online Meetup: Tuesday 14th July

After the success of our Online Meetup last week, we are inviting Wales/Cymru Fellows to (re)connect via Zoom again on Tuesday 14th of July from 1pm to 2pm with the opportunity to continue to conversation till 2.30pm. Our guest speaker is Jane Davidson.

Jane Davidson needs little introduction for most of us. As Welsh Minister for Environment between 2007 and 2011, she proposed paradigm shifting legislation to make sustainability the central organising principle of government. This led to the groundbreaking 2015 Wellbeing of Future Generations Act. Jane continues her work embedding sustainability into practice in her current role as Pro Vice-Chancellor Emeritus at UWTSD.

Jane will present her recently published, book #futuregen: Lessons from a Small Country, the story of why Wales was the first country in the world to introduce legislation to protect future generations. There will be an opportunity for questions and dialogue.

Taking Part in RSA Online Events

For our interactive online events, the RSA uses the platform Zoom. We have found it simple for participants to use while also providing the necessary functionality for an engaging online event.
