Join this global exchange on the Future of Work hosted by the RSA in partnership with Southern Voice and On Think Tanks.

The Covid-19 pandemic has shone an unforgiving light upon vulnerabilities and inequalities that already existed within our societies, and the world of work has not been spared. But crisis can be an opportunity for positive change.

In the hope we can build a bridge to a better future beyond the pandemic, we’re inviting RSA Fellows, researchers, and changemakers to exchange international perspectives on the impact of the Covid-19 crisis, digitisation and changing labour markets, with a spotlight on critical questions and findings coming from the Global South: what ideas can help to improve people’s working conditions and lives, and minimise precarity and insecurity that all too often have a disproportionate impact on disadvantaged groups?

All RSA Fellows and friends interested in the future of work and sharing knowledge across borders are invited to the first event hosted by the RSA in partnership with the international think tank networks Southern Voice and On Think Tanks.

The event will last 1h30 and will be divided into two main parts:

1. Panel discussion and Q&A with researchers from the Global South, moderated by the RSA’s Future Work Centre

2. Interactive breakout groups and a plenary session where all participants can connect and share their thoughts and insights

To register for this event and receive the Zoom link please follow the 'Book now' link above.

The event will kickstart at:

  • 8am CDT (Mexico City)
  • 2pm BST (London)
  • 3pm CEST (Paris)
  • 4pm EAT (Nairobi)
  • 8pm ICT (Bangkok)

This event is taking place during a week-long series of Bridges to the Future Conversations, hosted by the RSA and with our global communities of changemakers. At the RSA, we unite people and ideas to resolve the challenges of our time and recognise that crisis can be an opportunity for positive change. As we contend with the Covid-19 crisis, we are bringing people together to unlock ideas and innovation in the areas of society that must thrive, now and in the future.
