Join us for this event where you can meet and watch RSA talks together and discuss the ideas and concepts raised.
At the first RSA Watch Oxford, a group of 15 people got together and discussed creativity. Like many groups of Fellows that get together, they were creative in their fields and they enjoyed discussing creativity, but some of them also had a sense that they would like to create something with their collective energy. Who knows what will unfold as a result?
For the second screening and discussion, we will watch two more videos from the RSA lecture series on YouTube. This time, the theme is "climate change and leadership" - we want to look beyond the science and get to the core of the human response to climate change. The conversation afterwards will explore the possibility of us 'doing something' as a result. This doesn't mean that you will have your arm twisted to do things you don't want to do - even the most action-oriented people need others to stimulate their thinking.
At the time of writing, the plan is to watch at least two videos:
- George the Poet - on ground-level collaboration (30 September 2015)
- Neil Young - Musician & Activist - on authenticity, innovation, democracy, and the environment (11 July 2016)
- Possibly one other 'mystery' talk.
The event is free, but please do book your place at the top of this page so we know that you're coming. If you have any questions, please contact Graham Wilson FRSA: [email protected]
Location: Room D316, City of Oxford College, Oxpens Road, Oxford, OX1 1SA
