The Steps, RSA House and Online via Zoom

There are many perspectives about what it means to be intelligent, and what sort of intelligence we find in “artificial intelligence” (AI) technologies. For some, AI simply cannot be intelligent in the way people are. For others, it is not a matter of whether AI can be intelligent but when it will come to surpass human intelligence. For others, some AI technologies already show signs of human-like intelligence.

Join us on 31 October to explore the question of “intelligence” in AI. Hosted by the RSA Responsible Artificial Intelligence Network (RAIN) at RSA House and online, we will bring together panellists from industry, the arts and academia to tackle complex AI-related topics.

Through informal discussions, we will aim to bring nuanced and diverse perspectives to the wider audiences in a friendly manner. This event is free to attend and open to Fellows, friends, and colleagues interested in supporting the work of RSA Fellows.

About RAIN

The Responsible AI Network informs the responsible development, deployment, adoption and governance of AI technologies and research. We do so by promoting an innovation ecosystem that welcomes diverse voices, reduces inequalities, embraces critical thinking, collaborates across disciplines, and enables the wellbeing of people, places and planet.

Taking part in RSA in-person events

To participate in the event, you will need to register for a ticket so we can make sure we have an up-to-date list of those who plan on attending. If you wish to register another attendee, this must be done separately using a different email address. This is for capacity purposes. We encourage all attendees that are ill or showing symptoms of illness to stay home and to cancel your Eventbrite ticket if you are no longer able to join the event.

At the RSA, we strive to create inclusive and supportive environments for all Fellows. We recognise that individuals may require different forms of support to fully participate in our events and activities. Therefore, we welcome and encourage Fellows to bring the support they feel is necessary, whether it be a carer, an emotional support animal, or any other form of assistance. We ask that you fill out the accessibility requirements box in your Eventbrite booking form in advance of attending one of our events to ensure that the venues can accommodate such requirements. Our aim is to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and valued, and we are committed to accommodating diverse needs to foster an inclusive community.
