The Accumulate charity helps young people who are homeless reach their potential through participation by being involved in creative workshops, education and activities. These workshops include sessions on photography, fashion, sculpture, creative writing and visual arts. At the end of the workshop series an exhibition is held where the participants sell their work and so earn an income from their creativity.

Through Accumulate, the young person gets involved in something personally rewarding and meaningful that then impacts on their mental and emotional well-being. They start to build their confidence, self-esteem and ambition so that they can start to plan and focus on building a more positive future for themselves.

What’s unique about Accumulate is that it works in collaboration with Ravensbourne University London (a specialist educational institution for the design and digital media industries) and students and tutors facilitate and teach on the workshops and build networks together. Accumulate also fundraises for scholarships for participants to progress their creative education and study, fully funded, on the Access to HE Design and Digital Media course at Ravensbourne. This is a life changing opportunity.
