The Funding Network is currently looking for committed, proactive individuals who care about social change to join its board of trustees. Co-Founder Sue Gillie FRSA would like to invite all Fellows with an interest in social innovation or fundraising to apply.

The Funding Network (TFN) is the UK’s first live crowdfunding charity, established in 2002 by a group of donors who want to increase the impact of individual giving by doing it collaboratively in a group setting. Over the past 13 years, 6,000 donors have given in total over £8million, in support of 1000 social change projects. TFN has groups operating across the UK and internationally and continues to extend its reach, engaging a broader audience including young philanthropists, City professionals, high-net worth individuals and corporates.

Its supporters are everyday donors from all backgrounds who care about social change and support small, local, national and international charities working in the areas of health, education, human rights, climate change, conflict resolution and social inclusion. Its funding events are interactive and highly enjoyable.

TFN is not your usual charity.  It was started by donors, and we ask our current trustees to be donors (within the limits of their circumstances of course) so that we can continue to be an organisation run by people who do not ask anyone to do anything that we are not doing ourselves.  That has been much of our strength, and we would like that to continue. Although we now have wonderful professional help from our CEO and staff, our trustees are still the heart of our operation, and have the chance to take this small but well-respected organisation and ensure it continues to be an innovative and successful beacon for social change philanthropy. Frederick Mulder CBE, Founder, The Funding Network
