Join the Fellow-led Wellbeing Network for a meeting at the Institute of Medicine at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, on Thursday 23 February at 5pm.

This is a new venture by our existing Wellbeing Group in Glasgow to spread its wings and hopefully establish a new group in the East.

We will meet on Thursday 23 February at 5pm for 5.30pm and then afterwards at the Riccarton Hotel, Curriehill 7pm for 7.30pm.

We will hear from our host Professor John Cherrie about the work of the Institute of Medicine and the 'Exposome'.

There will then be a follow up on our recent 'Civic Society' meeting with the UN Special Rapporteur (Toxics). Find out more about his end of visit report. His full report will be published in approximately 6 months.

There will be an opportunity to network and to discuss research proposals and projects:

  • Friends of Parks and Environmental training centres.
  • Greenspace and Wellbeing
  • Air Quality: wearable meters, drones and modelling
  • Exposures: avoidance strategies and 'sensitivity or inflammatory' disorders.
  • Maintaining Environmental Standards through research networks.

The Institute of Medicine is readily accessible from the Edinburgh City Bypass junction with the A71 and the Hermiston Park and Ride terminus.

For further information, please contact Network Lead Mic Starbuck FRSA: mic@e-starbuck.co.uk

Location: IOM Edinburgh, Research Avenue North, Heriot Watt University Research Park, Riccarton, Edinburgh, Midlothian EH14 4AP
